Our terms and conditions
Last updated: 8 October 2026
These Terms govern use of Ozer, operated by Daniel Potter, a sole trader trading as Oodle Designs ("Oodle Designs", "we", "us"). By creating an account and accepting these Terms you agree to be bound by them.
Ozer provides workspace software for personal and business productivity including optional paid plans and marketplace apps. Features may change; we will give reasonable notice of material changes.
You must provide accurate information, keep credentials secure, and use Ozer lawfully. You are responsible for content in your workspaces and for inviting team members in line with your plan limits.
Without limiting the above, you must not:
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. In the iPhone and iPad app you can report a message or conversation and block the sender; you can also email hi@ozer.so. We review reports within 24 hours and may remove content and suspend or close the accounts responsible.
Where you instruct Ozer to process personal data of your staff, clients, contacts, or booking invitees, you are typically the controller and Ozer is your processor. You are responsible for:
If you use meeting recording or transcription, you must inform attendees as required by applicable law and your own policies. Consent or enablement inside the Ozer product does not replace your duty to notify attendees.
You retain all intellectual property rights in content you and your users create or upload in Ozer, including notes, files, listing photographs and particulars, contract wording, signatures, and templates. You grant Oodle Designs a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, transmit, and otherwise process that content solely to provide, maintain, secure, and support the service — including backups, AI features you enable, public portals and share links you enable, and property feeds or brochures you publish. We do not claim ownership of your content. You represent that you have the rights needed to upload and instruct us to process it.
Ozer provides tools to prepare, send, and capture electronic signatures. You are responsible for deciding whether an electronic signature is appropriate for a given document under applicable law (including the UK Electronic Communications Act 2000 and, where it applies, UK/EU eIDAS), for any notices or consents that law requires, and for the legal effect of documents you send. A signature captured in Ozer is intended to be an electronic signature. It does not, by itself, create legal advice, execute a deed, or replace wet-ink or witnessed execution where the law requires a different form.
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we process personal data, including product analytics via PostHog (with consent where cookies or similar technologies require it). Our Data Processing Agreement applies where we process personal data as your processor.
Our Data Processing Agreement forms part of these Terms for customers who process personal data through Ozer as controllers, and is incorporated by reference when you accept these Terms with a business account. The DPA is available at /dpa. A countersigned copy is available on request by emailing privacy@ozer.so. In the event of conflict on data protection processing terms, the DPA prevails for those matters.
Paid plans renew automatically via Stripe until cancelled. Prices include VAT where applicable. Refunds follow our billing policy and UK consumer rights where they apply. Failed payments may suspend access after notice.
AI outputs are provided "as is" for assistance only. You must review AI-generated content before relying on it or sending it to clients, regulators, or third parties — including drafts, summaries, proposals, and email replies. You must not rely on AI outputs alone for legal, financial, medical, or compliance decisions. You grant us a limited licence to process inputs to provide the service.
Media Generate tokens (media units) are billed separately from Ozer AI text credits. One-off top-up tokens expire 6 months from purchase and are non-refundable. Unused media tokens are forfeited in full if you close your account. Disabling Media Generate or downgrading a plan does not delete files or generation history already created.
You may cancel your subscription via the billing portal or by contacting us. Cancelling stops billing and may lock access; we keep your workspace data so you can reactivate. Deleting your account is a separate action.
Deletion: after you delete your account we remove customer data across our systems (database and storage, video hosting, and email logs) within 30 days. Database rows are removed immediately; remaining files are permanently deleted at the end of that window and cannot be recovered. We email the account owner before remaining files are wiped. Records we are required to retain by law are kept — billing and tax records for 6 years in line with HMRC requirements, and payment records held by Stripe are subject to Stripe's own retention obligations. Feature-specific retention periods are set out in our Privacy Policy.
You will indemnify Oodle Designs against claims, losses, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from: (a) content you or your users upload or instruct us to process; (b) your use of Ozer in breach of these Terms or applicable law, including recording or transcribing without required notices, unlawful marketing, or publishing listing data you are not authorised to use; and (c) any claim that your content infringes a third party's rights. This does not require you to indemnify us for our own negligence, wilful misconduct, or a personal data breach caused by our failure to implement the security measures described in the DPA.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to fees paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or other rights that cannot be excluded under UK/EU law. Data protection liability between the parties is addressed in the DPA.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
